Last quarter of classes

NBEO part 1 of boards is over!! 3 months of never ending studying is done and I hope I pass the exam!! ****Praying really hard*** Now just a couple more weeks left, and I will be done with classes and finals forever!
We have 4 classes left. The classes are ok, but there are soo many busy work. Not to mention, I still have to write up my case report that I haven't thought about since summer 2017, almost 1 year ago.

Currently, I'm taking:
-Business of Optometry: where we learn about how to find a job, apply for residencies, the process of getting licensed

in different states and completing Continuing Education courses, as well as learning about contracts, negotiations, leases, etc and other practice management information.

-Strabismus and Amblyopia II: Probably the most clinical course we are taking.
-Injections: Learning and doing injections.
-Ophthalmic Lasers.

So for my business class, we had to make a resume and cover letter. I haven't really put a lot of thought into the actual written content yet because a lot of the experiences I put on there are projected only. However, I had a lot of (hours of) fun designing a new resume layout.

Kaiser Hospice Donation Card

Final Product:

As an intern at Kaiser Permanente, I help out the Home Care department. Not only do I help provide caregiver relief by acting as a companion to the senior patients and delivering meds from the pharmacy, I also improve database efficiency and work production for the team of staff. Recently, I took on a new project with the special needs/senior care calling program. I ease the nurses' & case managers' workload by contacting patients via phone to find the best to schedule a phone follow up health assessment with the case managers. I will also call patients and offer to listen and provide caring and friendly companionship if patients want someone some emotional or friendly support.

Not only do I help with hospital management, I still wanted to actively pursue my graphic design interests. I initiated my interests and was asked to recreate and redesign a thank you card for donors.

I made two versions of a 5.5"X4.25" two sided card. I used Adobe Indesign to format the card layouts. I used Photoshop to make the front layout.

Computer Lab Work Logo

I designed this logo for a friendly competition project for my old job on the campus computer lab. "Cafe"-- is just a friendly term that coworkers call the place, to give it a more homey & friendly student work environment.

Take some time and be thankful for those around you.

Completed June 2009 for high school senior project using Windows Movie Maker, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop.
Thankful and grateful for friends and family.
The past: treasure and reminisce with loved ones, learn from past mistakes in order to improve and create better solutions.

The present: live in the moment, without regrets. Remember the past, but don't dwell and remorse again and again. Remorse and then reflect how to change the mistake for tomorrow!

The future: Have a general idea what you want your future to be, set realistic future goals, whether it's career, education, family, friends. But always be flexible and be open to changes. We can take preventive measures in the future but we can't predict everything so welcome and accept new ideas and challenges! :) Be cautious about the future but not over-anxious to the point that you can't "live in the now".
