Simple Sesame-flavored noodles (麻油炒麵)

Yay I am more than half way thru with my 30 day challenge! Even though I procrastinated on some of my posts, at least I actually made 17 posts in three weeks time, which is an improvement considering how much I neglect my blog xP.
Today I decided to try my hand at making a sunny side egg and succeeded! (Well, I'll let you know when I actually taste it :P)

麻油炒飯材料/Ingredients:
1 cup of vegetables
1 serving of noodles
1 Egg
Vegetable oil/sesame oil
Kimchi, sauces, or other seasonings and toppings

作法/Method:

So first,
Preparing the sunny side egg:
Step 1:
1. Heat oil on a stir pan (I used a deep stir frying pan). Feel free to put more or less oil as you see fit.
2. Put the fire on low and crack the egg whole onto the pan.
Step 2:
With fire still on low, allow the egg to heat up for about 5-10 minutes until the yolk is cooked enough for you (or raw enough)
Step 3:
Since I had a big pan, I decided to heat up some of the frozen vegetables with the rest of the oil while I wait for my egg to cook.
Step 4:
When the eggs and vegetables finish cooking, place in separate bowl. Reuse pan and place uncooked noodles on empty pan. Fill in a little bit of water (just enough to cover the bottom of the noodles). Just make sure you used up most of the heated oil, otherwise you will get an explosion if you heat oil + water together. Trust me, I've done that before and made me feel bad about disturbing my college roommates :(
Step 5:
Put fire on low heat and let noodles cook until they are ready. Noodles should become a more transparent looking color.
Step 6: you're done! Place noodles, egg, vegetables in a plate and serve. Feel free to add sauces and condiments as you please. I sprayed a little sesame oil and kimchi for a chinese style- kimchi noodles. haha
