Homemade French Toast (好好吃-法國吐司)

I can’t believe it’s been a year since I graduated! I keep seeing the new seniors/soon to be grads posting their grad photos. Ah I remember back when I felt excited yet scared to graduate. So, why are we talking about this? Oh yeah, this made me remember when I went to Cafe M last summer when I was still in Berkeley and I ordered a French toast during Sunday brunch.  I miss those Berkeley adventures and that french toast. Hence, I decided to try to make my own french toast. XD

Servings: 3 slices of bread

Ingredients:
+ 1 Tbsp (tablespoon) flour
+ 1/3 cup milk
+ 1 egg
+ 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon (optional: add in your favorite spices as you’d like!)
+ 1 tsp sugar
+ 3 slices of bread

Methods:
1. Beat the egg in a bowl and mix in the flour, milk, cinnamon, sugar until it’s smooth and even.
2. Add vegetable oil (or butter) to frying pan and heat it up.
3. Drown the slices of bread one at a time (both sides) in the bowl mixture from step 1.
4. Fry the slices until a brown color.
5. Add whipped cream, syrup, fruits as you please and serve!
*Notes: the mixture I used wasn't very sweet this time, which is fine because I can always add maple syrup/whipped cream or fruits. So when you make the mixture, make sure to taste the mixture before putting it on the bread.

 Final product:

I added whipped cream and maple syrup to enhance the flavors of my French toast!
